The Chicago Spire, designed by world renowned architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava, breaks new ground in a city that has always been at the forefront of architectural design. Turning and soaring 2,000 feet on the Lake Michigan shoreline, The Chicago Spire will be a dramatic new addition to one of the most famous skylines in the world. When complete in 2011, the building will be home to 1,194 individual residences and a range of amenities that will rival any in the world. Groundbreaking commenced June 26, 2007, and the global marketing campaign launched January 14, 2008.
