Shelbourne Development acquired this vacant and derelict site in June 2003. Planning was obtained for a striking landmark mixed use development, comprised of 373 luxury apartments and 8,000 sq.m. of innovatively designed retail and fitness space. The development was completed in 2006. The development is located in the bustling and popular suburb of Tallaght in South West Dublin and is adjacent to a large shopping precinct and the National Childrens’ Hospital. The development is close to the main M50 orbital route around Dublin City and is next to the light rail commuter line (Luas), which brings passengers rapidly into the heart of Dublin’s Central Business District. The apartments are fully sold, averaging €350,000 for each 2 bed apartment. The retail / commercial investment was sold to a group of private investors in 2005 for €67.5m.
