Findlater House
Dublin, Ireland
This prominent early 1970’s office building comprising c. 5400 sq.m. was acquired in an off-market deal in 2005 and is located on the corner of Dublin’s premier thoroughfare, O’Connell Street, and Cathal Brugha Street. Findlater House is currently occupied by a number of different tenants. The Irish Government have let the ground floor for use as the Irish Aid Information and Volunteer Centre, with interior design by award winning Irish architect Tom de Paor. The building is located beside a station on the proposed northern end of the Luas light rail connector. In addition, the proposed Metro North stop on Parnell Square is adjacent to the building. The site is significantly under-developed and, in due course, the Group would propose to re-develop the building into a mixed use office and retail scheme, possibly including a hotel. The area surrounding the property is presently experiencing complete rejuvenation (including plans for major retail schemes on the Carlton site and by Arnotts Department Store). Our proposed development will capitalise on that re-generation.
