Cratloe Wood Student Village is the largest privately owned student accommodation complex in Ireland. The 12.5 acre site was acquired in 2000. The finished development includes 238 apartments and 956 bed-spaces used throughout the academic year as the accommodation of choice for the students of Limerick Institute of Technology. The development takes advantage of the “Section 50” tax incentive programme and was predominantly sold off plans. Shelbourne completed the project by putting in place a full management team for the Village and it has been running successfully at high occupancy since completion, on schedule, in 2004.
